A Brief History
G2 started life in 2005 as G2 Security, reselling access control and CCTV. In 2009 talks with Ziton lead to distribution of the Ziton range. Then Ziton got bought by GE, followed by UTC and ultimately Carrier. In each of these acquisitions, the relationship with G2 as a distributor grew from strength to strength. In 2013 the company made the strategic decision to discontinue the security products and concentrate solely on Fire Detection. Focusing on Fire has enabled the company to become experts in the field offering even further value to the market.
Director Nichola Allan, has been an active member of the SAQCC Fire since it created its Detection and Gas Suppression division in 2012, and as its current Executive Chairperson is actively promoting learning and professionalism in the industry. With decades of experience in the fire and security sector, Nichola believes knowledge and upskilling are vitally important, both to her and the industry at large.
